About: OldSchool was founded on the belief that God is at work in all things, holding all things together and making His heart known to us, His children since the beginning of time. This co-op exists to partner with parents to make our God renowned and that His glory and grace would be seen in all things, especially the hearts of children as they learn about Him. We offer an alternative for families seeking a rich and immersive learning experience for their children. We embrace the timeless principles of classical education while seeking to foster a dynamic environment where children Pre-K through Sixth grade can thrive.

Our Approach: Drawing inspiration from classical, Montessori, and Charlotte Mason, among other like methodologies, we seek to provide a holistic approach to learning that engages the whole child. Through play, singing, memory work, hands-on projects, a diverse curriculum, applying the characteristics of Christ from our youngest to our oldest school-wide, we aim to ignite a passion for learning and living for a purpose that lasts a lifetime.

Our Method: We set the scope and sequence for the year in each grade, teaching new concepts on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Parents and children then apply these concepts at home on Tuesdays and Thursdays as they navigate detailed assignments posted in the Google classroom. This balanced approach ensures that learning is not only effective but also enjoyable, fostering a love for learning that extends beyond the classroom.

Darby's vision for OldSchool emerged from a deep desire to minister to homeschooling families in need of support, encouragement, and accountability.
