About OldSchool Co-Op
Founded on the belief that education is a partnership between parents and teachers, OldSchool offers a classical alternative for families seeking a rich and immersive learning experience. At OldSchool, we embrace the timeless principles of classical education while fostering a dynamic environment where children PreK through Sixth grade can thrive.
Our Approach: Drawing inspiration from classical, Montessori, and Charlotte Mason methodologies, we provide a holistic approach to learning that engages the whole child. Through play, singing, memory work, hands-on projects, and a diverse curriculum, we aim to ignite a passion for learning that lasts a lifetime.
Our Method: We set the scope and sequence for the year, teaching new concepts on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Parents and children then apply these concepts at home on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This balanced approach ensures that learning is not only effective but also enjoyable, fostering a love for learning that extends beyond the classroom.
Our Mission: Founded by Darby Cooke, OldSchool Cooperative is more than just an educational institution—it's a testament to the power of community, faith, and lifelong learning. Darby's vision for OldSchool emerged from a deep desire to minister to homeschooling families in need of support and encouragement. With a heart for bringing God's grace into the homeschooling journey, OldSchool seeks to uplift and inspire parents and students alike.
Conveniently Located: Nestled in the heart of Watkinsville, GA, OldSchool Cooperative welcomes families from the local area to join our vibrant learning community. If you're seeking a classical approach to education and a supportive community rooted in faith, OldSchool is here to partner with you on your homeschooling journey.
